The G2 Fullering Tool
The G2 is as dependable a tool to the blackmith as the hammer and anvil. The open face design and bolt together construction allows for precision and consistent expectations in all its applications from the creation of tenons to hollow forging pipe.
The design also allows fullering to occur the length of the dies as well as through the dies. The optional adjustable stop facilitates the ease in repeating fullering operations when needed.
What's included:
- This tool is designed to fuller your piece with the radius dies or forge tenons for round or square shoulders with the flat dies.
- Excellent for setting the shoulders on leaves , cat tails , candle cups etc.
- For isolating any given amount of material for more controlled forging.
- Really this tool is only limited by your imagination.
- Open sides allow you to fuller the length of your piece such as knife blades ( blood groove / fullered groove )
- Comes complete with two sets of dies.
- Dies are 1/2 " thick X 2 1/2 " wide
- One radius set and one flat set of dies
- Dies readily available standard size 1018 carbon steel ( Buy a length of steel from your local supplier and make any shape die that you like )
- No shims or anything required ( just cut your die to the shape that you want ) insert and start forging
- No ugly welds ( laser cut and machined and bolted together using socket head cap screws )
- Bottom slot has exit points for scale and grime so you dont have to worry about your dies becoming stuck )
- Comes complete with bolt on 1 " hardy shank as standard / available with 3/4 - 7/8 - 1 - 1 1/8 - 1 1/4 hardy shanks at no extra charge
